Area of study
Are you passionate about health, community, or psychology? Then you should enroll at UT in a health, wellness, or human science program! In this study area you could become a professional in fields ranging from hospitality services to exercise physiology or nutrition to pre-professional programs like pre-medicine and pre-dentistry. As a health, wellness, or human science student, you could work in the Counselor Training Clinic or provide nursing care in the local community.
Alumni have gone on to work at places like world-class cancer research centers and the Great Schools Partnership.
Health, wellness, and human science programs are found in four of our colleges. In the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences, you’ll find programs like school psychology, sport management, and nutritional sciences. Nursing is housed within the College of Nursing. In the College of Arts and Sciences, you’ll find pre-professional programs like pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, and pre-pharmacy. In the College of Social Work, you’ll find courses and programs related to counseling and crisis intervention.
UT has prepared me to be a nurse in so many ways, one of which is our simulation labs. We have an amazing simulation team with SIM mannequins. I think that’s so valuable to get to have that experience outside of the hospital.
